Peter Kreuzaler, PhD

Peter supports the team as Scientific Advisory Director in the field of cancer and metabolic research, overseeing biological validation, application development, and collaboration with academic and clinical partners. As an internationally recognized expert in cellular metabolism and cancer research at the University Hospital Cologne, with affiliations to CECAD and the Center for Metabolic Research (ZfS), he brings deep biochemical and metabolic expertise. His extensive experience with cellular respiration measurements, isotope-labeled metabolites, and advanced analytical methods enables him to precisely define technological requirements from a user perspective and to interpret measurement data in a biological context. The underlying idea for directly measuring cellular respiration originated with him. He actively accompanies the technology development and ensures its practical applicability under standard laboratory conditions.
