Participation in the Science4Life Venture Cup is one of the most important milestones for young companies in the life sciences, chemistry, and energy sectors in Germany. GaiaIsotopic had the opportunity to be part of this nationally renowned startup competition and to gain valuable insights for the further development of our company during the Science4Life Academy Days at the Collegium Glashütten. Natalie Schütz and Moritz Zimmer represented GaiaIsotopic at the two-day workshops and coaching sessions. They returned with numerous insights on topics such as business model development, business planning, company valuation, intellectual property rights, and research and development agreements. Exchange with industry experts
During the Academy Days, the two participants were able to take advantage of a range of offerings, including consulting, mentoring, and training. Particularly valuable was the exchange with an independent network of more than 300 experts from industry, academia, and entrepreneurship. This interdisciplinary dialogue not only provides Gaia Isotopic, as a young startup, with insights into diverse fields, but also enables a critical reflection on its own ideas and strategies, an essential factor for sustainable growth.
Workshop: Basics of company formation
The first day of the event focused on the fundamentals of startup formation. Key topics included:

- · Corporate financing strategies
- · Protection of innovations through patents and industrial property rights
- · Establishment of financial management and process structures

Individual coaching for the business model
On the second day, we had individual coaching sessions. Dr. Özlem Weiss, who has many years of experience building business units and developing innovative products for international companies, guided us. Together, we analyzed the business model and pitch decks that we had submitted. Her perspective as an experienced industry expert was particularly helpful in identifying new approaches to growth and market positioning. .

In addition to the technical content, networking was also a central part of the Science4Life Academy Days.
